Kavya Pooja is organised on November1^st ‘Kerala Piravi Dinam’ (the birth of the Kerala State) as part of the day celebrations. Gurus of poetry are venerated. Kerala Piravi is also illustrated as Malayalam Classical language Day. Participants take Classical Language pledge. Recitation of poems written by legends like Kumaranasan, Ulloor S Parameswara Iyyer, Vallathol Narayana Menon, Cherusseri, Vyloppilly, KunjanNambiar, Sugathakumari, ONV, Balamaniamma, P Kunjiraman Nair etc. is also done on this day. Administrative Language Conference, Administrative Language Pledge and Administrative Language Week are also organised as part of the days celebrations.
